6 ways your smartphone is improving the quality of your life

Our Smartphones have become part of our daily lives – in fact, it is difficult for us to imagine how we used to live without them! This of course has led to us, perhaps, spending too much time on our phones. But it is not all doom and gloom… Smartphones can actually help us in our daily lives as well.


1. Build up mental strength

There are a number of apps that can help you train your brain to think more positively. Other apps can help you regulate your emotions better or teach you how to meditate, while yet other apps can help you establish good habits or rid yourself of unhealthy ones.


2. Save time

Say what you like about Smartphones, but the ability to do so many different things on one device, for example, from checking your email, checking the weather and news, shopping online, making bank transactions and so on, is a godsend for those people who are super busy. The speed with which you can do tasks on a smartphone is amazing, as it means you can get work done and communicate with people even while you’re on the move.


3. GPS navigation

Remember the bad old days when you need an expensive GPS device which had to be manually installed in your vehicle or – even worse – having to use a physical map? Smartphones now allow you to find wherever you need to go at the touch of a button. Simple!


4. Making connections

Family and/or friends live far away? For those of you who remember the time when the only way to keep in touch was through a letter or postcard which took ages to arrive, the fact that you can now video call them with the touch of a button is a huge bonus. Making healthy social connections via Smartphone is good for you.


5. Fitness goals

Using a fitness app can help you improve your exercise habits. There are several apps that can help you reach your fitness goals.


6. Listen to audiobooks & podcasts

You can’t read a book while you drive or clean the house, but you can listen to an audiobook or podcast! The ability to listen to books, rather than to read them, means you’re more likely to find the time, even when you have a busy schedule.
